THE LAST LEAF BY: O. HENRY

 

The Last leaf by O’ Henry has many lessons in life, the strong friendship of Sue and Johnsy because Sue has a choice to leaver Johnsy but still stay and took care of her friend or more of like an extended part of her family. Honestly it so hard to find a friend like Sue so I try salute her character.

This story teaches us that we should never lose hope in life quickly. Behrman sacrificed his own life so his friend wouldn’t lose hope and recover from her illness. He goes out of his way to keep Johnsy’s hope alive. The story teaches us the meaning of the power of friendship and the importance of being kind and helpful.
